Gifts & Presence!!!

I spoke with a man who is quickly becoming a friend today!  He told me about a house in the South Heights that the owner is looking to gift simply to get giving credit for it.  While this gift was being considered by a housing ministry he is part of, it seemed to him in many ways that the location would be a better fit for what we are doing at the deep!

He called me after the board meeting tonight and told me that while the housing ministry has decided to accept the gift of the house they are interested in turning it over to us for use and perhaps eventually gifting it to us as well.  During their conversation at the meeting, when my new friend mentioned us, a number of the people on this board knew us and about our ministry (I am so thankful that God is answering our prayer for greater partnerships and connectedness in this community).

I am amazed that God would trust us with a house and help us in such a big and practical way to infiltrate the community we want to reach.  I am praying hard that this gift which allows us to have a greater presence in the community would directly result in new people experiencing the power and presence of God in their lives!!!
